Oct 11, 2013 · It didn't look like it had been used. I got a new switch and thought it was ready to go but now it cranks and will not start. I pulled a plug and it appeared to have spark. I sprayed ether in the intake and it started and ran for about 1 second. Because its hard to drive and spray started fluid at the same time I need to go further.

Okay. If it doesn't have the right volts it won't crank. Everything could work (lights, winch, etc.) But if the volts aren't high enough it won't crank, only click. Sometimes it's just a faulty relay or a bad connection. If the pump is getting power but still don't spool up when you cycle the key, then the pump is bad.towed ranger back to the house and checked the codes which showed 51 and 52. looked under the hood at the ECM and found that three of the wires had burnt out two on one connector and one on the other. Hello folks. I am new the forum and need some help. I bought a 2006 500 carb ranger. It all of the sudden stopped running while my father in law was driving it. It ran fine before.
