I agree with EngrSC that it's a good idea to shadow and get some experience in human medicine before making that decision. Luckily, quite a few prerequisites are similar between pre-vet and pre-med (I think), so you can probably take more time to get more experience and decide. I guess pre-vet life/applying to vet school is the most extreme experience some people have and the waiting, rejection, and acceptance overload is hard for some people to handle.
